Manage the languages of your affiliate program
AffiliationSoftware can be used to create an affiliate program in one language, or in multiple languages (multi-languages). All the texts available in the affiliate program can be customized directly from the admin panel.
Default language
To change the default language of the affiliate program go to:
Admin panel > Settings > General > Local settings > field "Language"
If the multi-languages plugin is not enabled all users will see the affiliate program in the default language.
Multi-languages (require plugin)
With the multi-languages plugin it is possible to manage the affiliate program in several languages.
Make sure you have enabled the multi-languages plugin from the page:
Admin panel > Settings > Plugins > enable "Multi-languages"
Then go to the page:
Admin panel > Settings > General > Local settings > field "Languages"
And then select all the languages you want to enable in the affiliate program.
Users will automatically see the affiliate program in their language. If the user language is not enabled, the default language will be used.
Edit existing transaltions
To change a text or a sentence available in the affiliate program go to:
Admin panel > Settings > Languages > Transalations
Then search for the text you want to change, type the new text in the appropriate field and save the changes.
Add a new language
To create a new language to use in the affiliate program go to:
Admin panel > Settings > Languages > Add
Select the language you want to create and then the language from which you want to copy all the existing translations.
Once saved the changes it will be possible to translate the texts available for that language following the instructions of the previous step.
Add custom translations
Who uses the multi-languages plugin can create custom translations and use them in the fields of profile and categories by calling them with [translation_name].
Admin panel > Settings > Languages > Transalations > Add
Multilingual campaign descriptions
Who uses the multi-languages plugin can create a multilingual descriptions for each campaign.
In the campaign description field, enter any text in a different language, enclosing it between the [lang] and [/lang] tags. Example
[en] English text here [/en] [it] Testo in italiano qui [/it]
If the description in the user language does not exist, the description in the default language will be displayed automatically.
Edit emails and pages
The emails and the pages of the affiliate program are also available in multiple languages.
How to edit the texts of the emails:
Admin panel > Settings > Email templates
How to edit the texts of the pages:
Admin panel > Settings > Pages
